Subscriptions are billed through Paddle, our merchant of record (the company that processes and is responsible for the sale). Tiers gate advanced features and set usage allowances; certain usage beyond your allowance is charged as a take-rate overage — a small percentage on the extra usage, explained below.
The three tiers are Free, Solo, and Business. Each tier unlocks progressively more of the platform.
What each tier includes
| Capability | Free | Solo | Business |
|---|---|---|---|
| Send / Receive by @handle, address, and payment link | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| One ”$” balance (USDC on Base) | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Earn (deposit/withdraw idle USDC) * | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Open-amount payment links | not included | included | included |
| Monthly confidential transfers | not included | limited allowance | higher allowance |
| Report types (transaction, income, expense, payroll, FX, evidence, full accountant package) | basic set | more | more |
| Team seats & roles (owner/admin/finance/accountant/viewer) | minimal | small team | larger team |
| Multisig accounts | not included | not included | included |
| Payroll runs | not included | limited | included |
* Earn is uninsured third-party DeFi lending; yield is variable and not guaranteed, and you bear the risk — see Earn.
How the tiers differ, in words
- Free — the core account: hold one ”$” balance, send and receive by @handle/address/link, and use Earn. Advanced features (open-amount links, confidential transfers, richer reports, larger teams) are gated.
- Solo — for an individual or one-person business: unlocks open-amount payment links, a monthly allowance of confidential transfers, more report types, and a small team.
- Business — for an operating SMB: includes multisig accounts, payroll, larger team seats and roles, a higher confidential-transfer allowance, and more report types.
Take-rate overage
Some usage is metered. When you exceed your tier’s included allowance for metered usage, that additional usage is billed as a take-rate overage (a small percentage on the extra usage) on top of your subscription. Overage is billed through Paddle alongside your subscription.
Plan fees vs. transaction costs
Your plan fee (Free / Solo / Business) is separate from the third-party costs your transactions incur — network/gas fees (paid in USDC), cross-network solver spreads, and provider fees (e.g. MoonPay’s and Transak’s own fees apply to on-ramp and off-ramp respectively). Those are not StableAccount plan revenue and are covered on Money & fees.
Feature availability and allowances vary by tier and may change. Prices and exact allowances are shown on the pricing page and at checkout. Availability and features also vary by jurisdiction and some may be unavailable, restricted, or unlawful in certain regions.
