Turn your dollars back into regular money in your bank account (cashing out / “off-ramp”), or bring regular money in (“on-ramp”), through a third-party fiat provider.
How cashing out works, step by step
- Choose an amount of ”$” to cash out.
- StableAccount routes it to Transak, a third-party fiat off-ramp.
- Transak runs any required KYC/AML identity checks and pays out to your bank account or card.
Bringing money in works the same way in reverse: on-ramp with a bank transfer or card via MoonPay, a third-party fiat on-ramp, and it lands in your account as ”$”. See Getting started.
What StableAccount does and doesn’t do
- StableAccount itself does not custody fiat — the third-party provider handles the fiat leg and identity checks.
- Identity verification (KYC), AML screening, and fiat on-ramp / off-ramp (bank and card) are performed by third-party providers: MoonPay (on-ramp) and Transak (off-ramp). Each states that it is licensed/registered to conduct this activity in the jurisdictions it serves; their regulatory status, licensing, and availability are determined by MoonPay and Transak respectively and vary by jurisdiction, and StableAccount makes no representation about them.
- When you buy or sell using fiat, you transact directly with that provider under its terms, privacy policy, and verification requirements. That provider — not StableAccount — is responsible for the regulated fiat activity and any related KYC/AML obligations.
- Access to certain features may require you to complete a third party’s verification, and access may be refused, restricted, or reversed by that third party under its own policies. Separately, StableAccount may also be required to restrict access to comply with law, sanctions, or third-party requirements.
Costs and availability
- MoonPay’s and Transak’s own fees and exchange rates apply to on-ramp and off-ramp transactions respectively and are shown at the point of the transaction. These conversions use MoonPay’s and Transak’s live rates, which differ from the daily-close reference FX used for your books.
- Availability depends on your region. Availability and features vary by jurisdiction and some may be unavailable in certain regions.
